Why do I do this? I am computer illiterate, but that doesn’t mean I won’t hunt around trying to do something. That brings us to right now. I’m trying to link this to Twitter. Let’s see if it works. Oh, about the “smoking?” Well, I tried an “art installation” on my front porch. If you look closely, you’ll see that there’s no smoke coming from that “cigarette.” That’s because it’s a pen, actually.

Sequim, WA, and Older Women
Tuesday, June 9th, 2009Sparkie asks the question if Sequim, WA, would be a good place for older women to retire. It depends on what you’re looking for. If you want crowds, hustle and bustle, honking horns, and random obscenities hurling through the air, Sequim isn’t the place for you.
On the other hand, if you want a quiet, polite, helpful little community where kindness abounds and the streets tend to “roll up” around 8:00 p.m., you might take a look. Also, they have a wonderful art community, many clubs, tons of churches, and an Indian casino just down the road.
It’s a small city up on the Olympic Peninsula, but they have some of the big stores such as a Costco, a Wal-Mart, a Home Depot, and an Office Depot. I’m hoping they’ll add a Trader Joe’s by the time I get up there…….
Weather-wise, it’s not as rainy as other parts of WA, but it is gray on many days.
I’ll have more to say about Sequim, WA. But to answer your question, Sparkie, the answer is a definite “maybe.”
