I contributed some cookies to the  2009 Art-A-Fair opening night.   I don’t know who these two gals are, but they loved these sugar cookies!  I love these cookies, too.  I picked up the recipe from another blog, so  thanks, Lorie!  Another fabulous recipe (also linked from Lorie’s blog) is for peanut butter sandwich cookies, which is from Martha Stewart.  Both of these cookies freeze and store very well.  They were a hit on opening night.

Here’s a plate of the yummy butter lemon cookies on a visit outdoors!  These are so incredibly easy, I’ll probably make some more real soon….to eat by myself….in secret…..

 These are the best, easiest butter lemon cookies!  The only extra I added to the recipe was lemon zest.  Also, rather than dipping the dough in granulated sugar, I used turbinado sugar, which makes them especially sparkly!  They are so delicious!
